Garmin Nuvi 765T GPS Review
The Garmin Nuvi 765T is absolutely beautiful and possesses a super sophisticated and sleek look. This GPS system gives the consumer access to a 4.3 inch, full color, touch screen, 480×272 pixels Wqvga Tft display, which is accompanied by a convenient backlight for better viewing. This device comes with a powerful, chargeable battery which is capable of lasting up to five hours before requiring any kind of recharge too. Easy to bring along while one is on foot as well as to mount in one’s car, the Garmin Nuvi 765T is a super convenient, user-friendly device.
The Nuvi 765T is part of the high-end Nuvi GPS series released by Garmin in late 2008. While similar to 2007’s Nuvi 700-series, the 765T expands upon its predecessors by adding free (ad supported) lifetime traffic updates. This device is nearly identical to the less expensive Nuvi 755T, except for the addition of hands-free Bluetooth connectivity for compatible mobile phones. Physically identical to the nuvi 785T, the 765T uses an included FM traffic receiver instead of the MSN Direct service used on the more expensive 785T.
The nuvi 765T introduces 3-D lane assist, which shows the correct lane one should be in as the vehicle approaches an exit. The 3-D building view allows motorists navigate with greater ease. Another new feature in the Nuvi 765T is faster screen redraws and route planning. The Nuvi 765T also features faster satellite communication and photo navigation, so one can use landmarks for added confidence when navigating.
For starters, the 765 marks Garmin’s leap onto the ‘lane guidance’ bandwagon. The corner graphic showing your next turning already illustrates quite clearly which lanes you should be in on a multi-lane carriageway. Garmin has also added a trendy realistic full-screen lane graphic to show more clearly where your car should be positioned on the road.
