SIM Only Sales Jumped Over 60% in UK

Over the last year we’ve seen an explosion of sim only mobile phone contracts sales. Simononlyoffers.com, a UK based sim only comparison site, reported that the sales of sim card only mobile phone contracts have grown over 60% within the first 6 months of 2009.

Richard Osbourne, Marketing Director at Sim Only Offers indicated a few reasons why sim only contracts have become very popular over the last 12 months or so. He revealed that significant growth of sim only sales is supported by a successful advertising campaign in the time of global economic meltdown which has been driving consumers to get the best deals but at the same time should be available at low prices.

According to Osbourne, the sim only schemes come with lots of amazing advantages compared to standard contracts. Sim only deals are a great way to get the value of mobile phone contract without the worry of a long length contract. Sim only contracts are typically much shorter in length than standard mobile contracts where the cost of the phone needs to be recouped over a lengthy contract. The best part of these deals is that, it is possible to retain the old numbers and handsets for a new connection while enjoying cheap tariffs for calls and texts.

Osbourne forecasted that the growth of the sim only sales will move ahead as more service providers like O2, Vodafone, Virgin, Orange, T-mobile etc. entering this new niche market. With more providers enter the market the competition in this segment will become very tough. This rivalry will further drive down prices. Moreover the awareness of sim only is raised as more users are happy finding great deals in sim only contracts.

Finding the best sim only contracts has never been easier. A number of websites have emerged to support this new market.  One such site is http://www.simonlyoffers.com/ who have a section showing all the hottest sim only deals.
